In the spirit of celebrating Black History not just in the month of February, but all year-long, Louisiana created an African-American Heritage Trail. The trail was officially launched in 2008 with 26 sites listed and as of 2010 the trail now has 33 sites that includes Rosedown Plantation SHS. The trail also has an iPhone App that is free to download for anyone interested in researching the trail on the go.
If you’d like to check it out then click on the title banner and you will find a list of images, a PDF of the trail’s map and much more. You can also find information about the trail on Facebook and Twitter.
